I bought a Audio-Technica lapel mic from SoundProfessionals about 6 months ago (Audio-Technica AT831-SP Uni-Directional (Cardioid) Lapel Microphone with 3.5mm (1/8") miniplug Rotating Clip and windscreen, 48" Cable - Item #10474)
All the extension cables I have tried so far need this Rode adapter to work. I am trying to avoid using this adapter as they seem flimsy. (Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Microphone Cable Adaptor, 3 Inches)
